Last year, Willow Chang and Passport Productions Proudly presented PUJA: An Offering In Dance, journey in movement and music with artists from Honolulu and abroad. Puja, the Sankrit word meaning "offering", is a celebration of devotion and the divine, expressed here in dance. With 2 sold out shows and great success, audiences are ready for the next show!
THIS YEAR, the journey continues with the PUJA: Gods and Monsters.
This concert brings together artists from all corners of the globe to explore the wealth of stories, myths, movement and music, spanning experiences that are both unique and universal.
PUJA is a unique and groundbreaking showcase that celebrates
where tradition and innovation meet. The line up includes Argentine Tango (George Garcia), Modern dance from Willow Chang, Diane Lam, Jen Shannon’s Convergence Dance Theater, and returning from LA Hawai’is own Simeon Den, Tribal fusion with Shakti Dance Movement, Aerialist Andrea Torres’ Samadhi Dance, Adela Chu, Chinese Qi Gong (Michael Hamilton and Naomi Brown), Swasthya Yoga (Guilherme Alves), SANGHA Dance Theater (contemporary fusion), Brazillian Orisha dances (Samantha Tavares), Samba Axe, Hip Hop and Street Dance with Intrepid and David Heller, Sinamar and Desiree A. Seguritan- Balinese Dance and music and 3 special guest artists: Eduardo Rodrigues, from Argentina and Cirque Du Soleil, Meissoun, from Switzerland- performing both Classical Indian Dance and Bollywood and Anasma Vuong, from Bellyqueen dance Company, New York and Paris, performing both world fusion and Oriental inspired dances!
Tickets are available pre-sale ($20 for students and seniors, $25 general)
